Questions

The things people ask before they book.

The terms are the listing's, quoted here with the date we last checked them. Prices and live dates live there too.

Booking and paying

How much does it cost?

The rate is set on our Booking.com listing and priced there against your own dates, which is why we do not quote a figure here — the listing is always current and this page could only ever be a snapshot of it.

Worth knowing before you look: the villa goes as one house, so the same rate covers two of you or ten. You are taking the whole place rather than a room in it.

Is there a minimum stay?

It is four nights, so a long weekend will not quite reach. Longer stays are welcome.

How do I book?

Either straight through the Booking.com listing, which shows live dates and takes the booking there and then, or by emailing the management team at villachristinanidri@gmail.com with your dates and how many of you there are. Messenger reaches the same people.

Do I pay when I book?

The listing asked for no prepayment when we checked on 21 August 2026. Payment terms are the listing's to set, so confirm them there for your own dates.

Can I cancel?

Free cancellation up to 30 days before you arrive, as the listing stated on 21 August 2026. Inside that window its own terms apply, and they are shown at the point of booking.

Is there a damage deposit?

None is asked for. The villa is left as you would want to find it, and that is the whole of the arrangement.

Can we book part of the villa?

No — it is let as one house to one party. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms, the kitchen, the living space and the pool terrace, all yours for the stay.

The villa itself

How many does it sleep?

Ten, across five bedrooms, with four bathrooms between them.

Which bedroom is which?

Three of the five take a large double bed and two are twins, so the ten sleep as five rooms of two. There is a sofa bed in the living room on top of that. The full plan is set out on The Villa.

Every bedroom has its own air conditioning, a ceiling fan, shutters and insect screens. What we have not published is which room sits on which floor and which bathroom goes with which bedroom, so tell us who is coming — couples, children, anyone who would rather not take stairs — and we will tell you how the rooms divide before you commit to them.

Is the pool private?

Yes, and for registered guests only. There is no lifeguard, the tiles are slippery wet, and children need watching. No glassware by the water — plastic and metal cups are provided for outside.

Is there air conditioning?

In every bedroom, controlled room by room, with ceiling fans besides. Plenty of guests switch it off at night and sleep with the shutters ajar instead.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Free, throughout the villa. The network and password are in the welcome guide you get on arrival rather than on this page.

Are towels and linen provided?

Bed linen, bath and hand towels, and separate beach towels for the pool. Stays over a week get a linen change, and a mid-stay clean can be arranged.

Can we cook properly?

Hob, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a full set of cutlery, crockery and cookware — one guest put it better appointed than their own at home. There is dining indoors and out, and the Nidri market is where the olive oil, honey and lemons come from.

Is there a washing machine?

Yes, in the utility room, with an iron and a washing line. No tumble dryer — nothing needs one in a Lefkada afternoon.

Getting there

Which airport?

Preveza (Aktion) is the nearest, and transfers run around the clock. Lefkada is joined to the mainland by a causeway, so there is no ferry to time your flight against.

Do we need a car?

It helps. There is free private parking at the villa, most of the island's beaches are a ten to thirty minute drive, and the roads are good if narrow in places. Without one you would lean on taxis and the KTEL bus, both of which run from Nidri.

How far is Nidri?

A few minutes on foot down to the road, then a short drive or a taxi into the centre, where the shops, the restaurants and the harbour are. It is up a hill — which is exactly why the view is what it is.

Will it suit someone with limited mobility?

Honestly, not very well. The villa sits above the village, the walk down to the road is steep, and there are stairs inside. Tell us what you need and we will tell you plainly whether it works, rather than let you find out on arrival.

During your stay

What time can we arrive?

Check in from 15:00, check out by 10:00.

Are children welcome?

Any age, and a cot can be provided on request. The pool is not fenced, so small children need an eye on them the whole time you are out there.

Can we bring a dog, or smoke outside?

Neither, on the listing's terms: no pets and no smoking. No parties or events either, and no hen or stag groups. Voices down after 11pm, out of respect for the neighbours.

Who do we contact while we are there?

The management team, by email or Messenger — they answer through the day. In an emergency, 112 reaches an English-speaking operator anywhere in Greece, and there is a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher in the kitchen.

What is there to do nearby?

Nidri harbour is the departure point for boats over to Meganisi and the beaches along this coast. The west coast beaches are the reason to hire a car, and the waterfalls are a short way inland. The view page names everything you can see from the terrace, and Nydri & Lefkada covers getting to the rest of it.
