Nidri village, its shops and its restaurants sit below the villa — a walk down to the road, and a taxi or a short drive on into the centre. The harbour is the departure point for boat trips across to Meganisi and the beaches along this side of the island.

Above the town, on the road to Agios Christoforos.

The villa sits on the hillside west of Nydri, in the olive terraces around Agios Christoforos. The town, its harbour and its restaurants are below and to the east; the road down joins the coast road that runs the length of this shore.

South of the town the water narrows into Vlycho Bay, which the Geni peninsula closes off almost completely — the reason the yachts winter there, and the reason the second stretch of water in the view is flat when the open bay is not.
